Okay that's weird.

You can call OIT and ask them.  They'd be happy to explain it, I think.  I
worked for OIT for a while in the NOC.

Call after 6:00 PM, and select "emergency".  Those guys just watch movies
all night anyway, so you'll be giving them something interesting to look up.
