I want an interface that looks like hipmunk but instead of scheduling
flights, schedules people in an editable fashion (i.e. for UTOSC).
dimensions of input are
- duration of talk (30 min, 45 min, 2 hr, etc)
- number of days and times each day (d0: 9:00 - 12:00, 1:30 - 6:30; d1:
10:00 - 1:00, 2:30 - 5:00, etc)
- number of rooms
- size of room (perhaps best represented by transparency (density))
- popularity of speaker (perhaps best represented by color (heat map))
Maybe the software could make a guess at how to schedule people, but having
to do all of the labor myself would be fine.
Any existing software come to mind?
If not, anyone interested in creating it?

P.S. more brainstorming
width - available rooms
height - available time
pagebreak - day
speaker color - popularity (red hot, blue not)
size of opaque box (inside of translucent box) - room size
hmm.... yeah, I think all dimensions of input could be represented.
