Announcements

As part of reviving the UUG, we would like to start the weekly UUG Hangout. These are meant to be a local, casual meeting, where we can discuss applicable material. We will be holding hangouts every Thursday evening from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. A potential topic of discussion for our first one would be "Using Linux as your IDE". This is an opportunity for more advanced Unix/Linux users to help teach those with less experience, and for those new to this realm to learn, and meet, from others. If it really comes down to it, we can all play our steam games from Linux

Earlier in the semester new leadership was elected. The current UUG leadership is as follows:

President - Logan Gunnell
Vice President - Hayden Panike
Secretary - Brewer Johnson
Librarian - Samuel Moses
Webmaster - Ross Woodside

Everyone ran uncontested. The only two official candidates were Jon Wilson (President) and Todd Millecam (Secretary). By appointment from Jon, Chris Cullen has been nominated for Webmaster, and Andrew McNabb for Librarian--pending their acceptance.
